Summary: Carbonate concretions in the Pliocene to Miocene diatomaceous sediments are composed of calcite, dolomite and siderite; delta 18O ranges from -0.81 to +5.15per mille for calcite and +2.00 to +7.29per mille for dolomite. The delta 13C values vary between -39.96 and +11.45per mille for calcite and -20.99 to +4.75per mille for dolomite. Siderite has -1.90per mille delta 18O and +0.03per mille delta 13C.
