Summary: Recent studies of expanded Aptian-Albian sections from a range of latitudes and from the Indian, and North and South Atlantic Ocean basins have produced higher resolution calcareous nannofossil zonation schemes for this interval. Integration of high- and low-latitude calcareous nannofossil biostratigraphics is proposed based on the study of ODP Site 763 located on the central Exmouth Plateau. This site was situated in temperate latitudes in the Aptian-Albian ages.
