Summary: Permeability tests were conducted on core samples from Integrated Ocean Drilling Program Expeditions 322 and 333, which investigated the Kumano transect offshore the Kii Peninsula, Japan. Samples from Sites C0011 and C0012 represent Shikoku Basin sediments from the incoming plate, whereas the sample from Site C0018 represents slope sediments in the megasplay fault region. Measured vertical permeabilities vary from 1.3 × 10-19 to 2.8 × 10-16 m2.
